Funding
Beyond Traditional Arts Funders
How is it possible to attract donors who have shown no previous interest in contributing to the arts? This session will provide organizations with concrete ways to engage funders in supporting collaborative projects that may seem beyond their usual areas of interest while still maintaining each individual organization’s branding and identity. Case development, approach strategies and the opportunity to seek funding for accessibility to arts education programs will be covered.
Round Table Topic: Budgeting and Financing for Collaborative Projects
Project budgeting and financing are doubly complex for collaborative endeavors. Here’s a chance to discuss the important financial issues that should be considered at the outset of collaborative planning and how these issues impact budget reporting, endowment projects and your organization’s operating budget.
The Future of Funding: A National Funding Panel
Professional fundraising consultants and a group of funders representing major national foundations that have supported the arts will offer their insights into funding opportunities, trends in arts funding and collaborative projects. Of special interest will be a discussion of how the arts can succeed during an economic downturn such as we are now experiencing. A question and answer period will be included in this session.
The Grantmakers Speak
Foundation personnel will present best practices in submissions by collaborating partners. Areas to be discussed include data gathering and focusing the grant with a special focus on collaborative program/facility evaluation and shared reporting.
